It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Vavricek (Center Point, Iowa), born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on September 14, 2018, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Vavricek and Eleanor Vavricek (Lorence); and his granddaughter Leah Christensen. He is survived by: his spouse Tammy; his children, Rod Vavricek (Brandy) of Monticello, Cary Vavricek of Cedar Rapids, Nick Vavricek of Leland, Alicia Davis (Klint) of Atkins and Tyler Vavricek of Center Point; his sister Mardene Hinton (Larry) of Kankakee; and also, Sissy and Bandit. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to either Troy Mills Fire & Rescue or Center Point Ambulance in his name.
