He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Vaupel and Dorothea Vaupel (Merchant); and his sister Doris Ann Bagby. He is survived by: his wife Judith Wheeler; his sons, Arnold (Nora) and John of Tempe, Arizona; his grandchildren, Cory (Sharon), Dustin (Jennifer), Shayla, Sam and Grace; his great grandchildren, Sylvia, Cooper of Scarlett, AJ and Karl; his siblings, Nadine Heiserman and Conrad Vaupel; and his pets, Tiger and Callie.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John Lutheran Church in honor of it's 75th anniversary this year.
