It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Erika Lea Hempstead of Center Point, Iowa, born in Oelwein, Iowa, who passed away on September 29, 2022, at the age of 41, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Edith Penhollow, Walter Penhollow, John Rueber and Robert Vargason; her aunt Cindy Reisen (Penhollow); her horse Bricky; and her pets, Zoey and Remy.
She is survived by: her parents, Royce Penhollow and Nancy Penhollow (Vargason) of Oelwein; her husband Travis Hempstead of Center Point; her daughters, Macee of Center Point, Harper of Center Point and Brielle Hempstead of Center Point; her sister Angela Scott (James) of North Aurora, Illinois; her brothers-in-law, Josh Hempstead (Lori) of Manchester and Kasey Hempstead of Cedar Rapids; her parents-in-law, Kenneth and Karen Hempstead of Manchester; her grandmothers, Virginia Rueber of Oelwein and Colleen Vargason of West Branch, Iowa; and her pets, Lily and Willow. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
