He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Ashlock and DeVee Ashlock (Oliphant); and his brother Norman Ashlock. He is survived by: his children, Sarah Tucker and Wade Ashlock (Amy); his grandchildren, Austin Tucker, Haley Tucker and Grayson Ashlock; his siblings, Howard Ashlock (Sandra), Alan Ashlock (Terry), Janet Gross (Bill) and Jody Morrissey (Joe); and his close friend Rita Zook. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donn was a member of Pheasants Forever, the NRA, and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
