He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, LeRoy Dirks and Maurine Dirks (Stingley); his wife JoAnn Benischek; his brothers, John Bradford Dirks (Lynda) of Cedar Rapids and William Dirks (Linden); his sons, Kim Dirks (Karen) of Sioux City, IA and Kurt Dirks (Tausha) of St. Louis, MO.; his grandchildren, Allison, Andrew, Davis and Katie Dirks; his great grandchild Emmet; and his brother Kermit.
