He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ronnenberg and Ardelia Ronnenberg (Ward); his wife JoAnn; his stepfather Jess Phelps; and his sister Violet Haerther.
He is survived by: his son William Jr. (Chiara Giuliani); his granddaughters, Sofia and Luisa of Washington, DC; his daughter Julie Bode (Dwight) of Coralville; his grandchildren, Courtney, Alex (Rylee) and Elle; his son Michael (Grace Wang-Ronnenberg); his grandchildren, Quinn and Rhett of Manchester, Iowa; his sister Rose McDonald; his siblings-in-law, Bill Stone and Barb Conner; and also, Remi and Halsie Bode. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids.
