She was predeceased by: her parents, Brainerd Chedester and Virginia Gregson Chedester; her husband Dorman Lee Johannes; her brother Lee Chedester; and her son Doug Johannes.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Temple (Tammie) of Arizona, Kent Johannes (Lavonne) of Oskaloosa, Scott Johannes (Elizabeth) of Cedar, DeOwen Johannes (Diane) of Des Moines, Kellie Vroegh (Bruce) of Eddyville and Brenda Lanphier (Gary) of Oskaloosa; her sister Rose Shira of DesMoines; her sister-in-law Linda Chedester of Parker, SD; and her close friends, Char Waller, John and Joyce Stam. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation or Serenity House of Oskaloosa.
