He is survived by: his former wife Mary Christian; his children, Kimberly K. Sojka (Mike) of Hiawatha, IA, Kenda M. Hewitt (Rob) of Cedar Rapids, IA and Kristopher R. Cress of Peoria, AZ; his grandchildren, Charles J. Madison V of Cedar Rapids, IA, Tanner Hewitt of Cedar Rapids, IA, Martha K. Cress of Peoria, AZ and Emilio K. Cress of Peoria, AZ; his sisters, Lorena Karr of Urbana, IA, Deci Mason of Shellsburg, IA, Anna Mae Witherell of Cedar Rapids, IA, Doris Haefner of Vinton, IA, Marilyn Kolsrud of Shellsburg, IA and Elaine Boddicker of Newhall, IA; his sister-in-law Karen Cress of Cedar Rapids, IA; and his pet Bay. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to any charitable institution of your choice in Roy's name; St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Shriners Club.
