He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Graalfs and Elisa Graalfs (Tiarks); his wife Eileen Goos; his son David; and his siblings, Eugene, Phyllis and Marilyn.

He is survived by: his children, Diane Graalfs Morey of Grundy Center and Michael Graalfs (Lisa) of Urbandale, Iowa; his grandchildren, Thomas Morey (Stacy), Samantha Morey, Noah and Raina Graalfs; his great grandchildren, Spencer, Sylvia, Isabelle and Kaycee; and his sisters-in-law, Darlene Kerber, Shirlene and Barb Goos. He is also survived by friends and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Every Step Hospice or Zion Congregational Church.
