He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Coffin and Mickey Coffin (McElvogue); his brother Paul Coffin Jr.; his former wife Cherie Coffin; and his daughter-in-law Lisa Coffin.
He is survived by: his wife Bunny Coffin; his children, Ron Coffin II of Cedar Rapids, Steve Coffin of Cedar Rapids and Penny Ripley of Cedar Rapids; his stepsons, Nathan Brandis of Cedar Rapids and Alex Brandis of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Andrew Ripley, Megan Ripley, Emily Pettit, Erica Coffin, Grant Coffin, Courtney Coffin, Conner Coffin and Mollie Coffin; his stepgrandchildren, Adriana Brandis, Carter Brandis, Bry Brandis and Danika Brandis; and his siblings, Kae Coffin of Des Moines and Deb Judisch of Des Moines.
