He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Vrba and Libbie Vrba (Toman); his son-in-law Francis Boston; and his brother Frank Vrba. He is survived by: his wife Linda Garlick; his daughters, Stacy Boston of Cedar Rapids and Laura Bullock (Dennis) of Sioux City; and his grandsons, Robert Austin (Jessica) of Des Moines and Michael Austin of Sioux City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight or Friends of the Cedar Rapids Public Library.
