He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Joann Danly; his grandchild Ryan; his wife Teresa (Himmel); his daughter Melissa (Chad Carter); his daughter-in-law Stephanie; his grandchildren, Kennedy, Brooklyn, Arianna, Asia, Jassey and Liam Carter; his sister Becky Sawyer (David); his son Kurtis; his sister Chris Pease (Dave); his sons, Daniel (Nicole) and Tanner (Hailey); his granddaughters, Vivian and Lydia; his sister-in-law Julie Deason (Craig); his nephew Robert (Ashley Deason); his great-nieces, Sophia and Evelyn; his nephew Steven Deason; his niece Kelli Lawrence; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Elliot, Jovi and Jessie; his brother-in-law Larry (Kathy Himmel); his niece Heather; his brother-in-law Carl (Cindy Himmel); his nieces and nephews, Nate, Kendra Himmel, Matthew, Melanie Himmel, Laura Himmel and Emily Himmel; his brother-in-law Scott Himmel; his niece Sarah (Steve McKee); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Gabby, Lizzy and Slade; his children, Ryan Danly and Stacy Danly; his father Richard "Dick" Danly; and his close friend Jean Britcher.

Visitation was held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel (1221 1st Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories (1221 1st Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
