It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Orval Spilde (Cedar, Iowa), born in Decorah, Iowa, who passed away on January 12, 2019, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Spilde and Hanna Spilde (Tilda Johanna); and his siblings, Gladys, Helen, Bessie, Harold, Leonard, Myron, Lester and Gavin.
He is survived by: his spouse Bernadean Case; his children, Nadine Neal (Jerry), Muriel Logan (Bill), John Spilde (Angel) and Randy Spilde (Evelyn); his grandchildren, Melissa Kincade (Nick), Nathan Neal, Dan Logan (Cass), Kim Salmon (Brian), Bethany Spilde and Alan Spilde; his great grandchildren, Austin, Emily, Lauren Kincade, Audrey and Emma Salmon; and his siblings-in-law, Esther Spilde, Bud and Gary Case. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
