She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiram Twedt and Gertie Twedt; her spouse Askel Sampson; her siblings, Alvin (Elaine), Harlan, Darwin, Shirley (Virgil Woster) and Charlotte (Paul Frandsen); and her children-in-law, Judy Sampson (Dean) and Glen Gillis (Linda).
She is survived by: her siblings, Mary Tjelmeland of Mesa and Paul Twedt (Patty) of Ames; her sisters-in-law, Roberta Twedt and Beverly Twedt; her nieces and nephews, Dean, Wayne (Julane), Linda and Gary (Linda); her grandchildren, Kirk Sampson (Carmen) of Bloomington, Darren Sampson (Michele) of Normal, Michael Gillis (Joy Garvey) of Phoenix, John Sampson (Crystal), Jon Sampson (Tamara), Troy Sampson (Joanna Kee) of Jacksonville, Karen O'Connor (Kyle) of Hackettstown, Jana Sampson of Walnut Creek, Shawn Sampson of Ankeny, Amy Duning (Eric) of Helena Montana, Susan Purrington (Andrew) of Flagstaff and Adam Sampson of Ankeny; her great grandchildren, Connor, Katherine, Collin, Brett, Holly, Heidi, Hannah, Ben, Everett, Mikaila, Nate, Mason, Olive and Elliot; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Hope and R. J. Garvey.
