He is survived by: his wife Tamam; his children, Julia Gharib, Michel Gharib, Jr. (Amy) and Jane Thurm (Chad); his grandchildren, Marcus, Alex, Owen Thurm, Delaney, Elle and Luca Gharib; his sister Dunia Abodeely; and his brother-in-law Hanna AbouAssaly. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to St. George Orthodox Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
