He is survived by: his parents, Harry Matheny and Esther Matheny (Smith); and his siblings, Sandra Matheny, David Matheny (Marla) and Sherry Kubicek. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the family.
