She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Huber and Mildred Huber (Yarbrough); her husband Matthew "Pete" Merritt; her son Steven; her brothers, Paul, John, Ben and Skip Huber; and her close friend Jerry Heath.
She is survived by: her children, Barb Christoffersen (Steve) of Cedar Rapids, Shery Merritt (Paul Westlake) of Palo and Dan Merritt (Teresa) of Jenks, OK; her grandchildren, Brian Christoffersen (Lory), Tammy Hoffman (Mike), Shery Pryszlak (Nick), Matthew Christoffersen (Rebekah), Joshua Merritt (Kendra), Travis Merritt (Kimberly) and Kayleen McCrimmon (Austin); her great grandchildren, Cody, Callie Christoffersen, Chloe Pavelka (Logan), Noah, Dinah, Silas, Tabitha, Jairus, Gloria, Zipporah Hoffman, Andrew, Mackenzie, Joshua, Brayden Pryszlak, Abigail, Everly, Tyler Merritt and Owen McCrimmon; and her brother Jim Huber (Connie) of West Branch.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at 1669 Court Ave, Marengo, IA 52301. A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
A memorial fund has been established for First United Methodist Church in Marengo and the American Legion Hall in Marengo.
