He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Sutter and Hulda Frederich Sutter; and his siblings, Marie Anderson and Fritz Sutter of West Union. He is survived by: his daughters, Sue Humphrey (Mike) and Leigh Sutter of Cedar Rapids; his grandsons, Matt Humphrey (Valoree) and Jeff Humphrey (Mario Radilla); his great grandchildren, Hailee and Allison Humphrey; his pet Paws; and his brother Don Sutter (Marilanna) of Elgin. He is also survived by his two daughters, two grandsons, two great-granddaughters.
