He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vincent Engel and Katherine Engel (Wolff); his sons, Randy Engel (Heather) of Toddville, IA and Jeff Engel of Marion, IA; his grandchildren, Ashlynn Rauch (Seth), Autumn Engel, Colton Engel and Arissa Engel; his great grandchildren, Everly Rauch and Brantley Rauch; his siblings, Leland Engel, Steven Engel, Donavon Engel (Cindy), James Engel (Jody), Diane Taylor (Steve), Camille Maness (Sam), Valerie Spindler (Ken) and Crystal Bown (Nick); his adoptive father Bobby Jones; his pet Romeo; and his brother Quinton Engel.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Oldorf Hospice House.
