Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved LaVone Luther of Cedar, Iowa, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 94, on January 20, 2022. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Chermak and Alta Chermak (Bleedner); her husband Dean Luther; and her son Dale. She is survived by: her children, Diane Luther (Richard) of Galena, Donna Jelmeland (Kermit) of Anamosa and Dave Luther (Linda) of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Brian Luther (Michelle) of Rosemount, Nicole Creswell (Matt) of Reinbeck, Stacia Stroud (Andy) of Dewitt, Abby Scheitlin (Brandon) of Cedar Rapids and Haley McNulty (Sheyenne) of Atkins; and her great grandchildren, Dylan, Brody Luther, Tyson, Paige Creswell, Drew, Talia, Jonathan Stroud, Jordan, Lincoln and Natalie McNulty.
The family requests anyone attending the funeral wear a mask, and due to Covid there will be no visitation before or after the service.
Memorial donations may be directed to Meth-Wick Community or Unity Point Hospice.
