She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Paterno and Ruth Paterno; her husband LeRoy Skogman; her brother Dale Paterno; and her grandson Chad Skogman.
She is survived by: her children, Rick Skogman (Marilyn), Kyle Skogman (Susan), Gary Skogman (Robin), Drew Skogman (Jo Ann) and Dale Fick (Rob); and her grandchildren, Chris Skogman (Nikki), Britt Bremner (Barron), Hunter Skogman (Tiffany), Taylor Barron (Jamie), Laura Skogman, Sage Skogman, Erick Skogman (Padget), Jennifer Skogman (Kirby Dreher), Matthew Skogman (Jenny), Lynsey Engels (Marc), Kristi McFate (Dave), Julie Martin (Mike) and Ryan Fick (Tayler). She is also survived by 32 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Community Free Health Clinic Cedar Rapids, Mercy Hospice Cedar Rapids, Salvation Army, or Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation Disaster Relief Fund.
