He is survived by: his wife Helen DeBuhr; his children, Lee Hixson (Janet), Karen Schreiber, Kathleen Wymore (Randolph) and Craig Hixson; his grandchildren, Tess Sellers (Michael), Jacqueline Hixson, Ryan Hixson (Jess), Miranda Wymore and Keith Schreiber; his great grandchildren, Melanie and Trevor Sellers; and his brothers, Dale and Marvin.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Oldorf Hospice House.
