He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Miller and Florence Miller (Boble); his wife Jane A. Burlingham; and his sister Rosemary. He is survived by: his close friend Bill Minkler; his daughters, Tamara Miller (Don Tyler) of Marion and Ann Marie Miller of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, London (Kellie), Scout (Tess), Saige (Coleman) and Adriana; and his siblings, Harold Miller, Robert Miller (Connie) and Maggie Stilwell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
