She was predeceased by: her husband Bruce; and her brother Dick. She is survived by: her spouse Conrad Hornbuckle; her children, Keri Hornbuckle and Gavin Hornbuckle; her grandchildren, Leiden and Franklin (Iowa City); her sister Roni Sawin (Steve); her nieces, Sue Szmyrgala (Marek), Julie Christensen (Jim) and Sandi Thompson (John); and her stepsons, Bruce Fenchel and Steve Fenchel (Beth). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Jean would welcome memorials to the Cedar Rapids School Foundation or to Foundation 2 of Cedar Rapids.
