With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene Boesenberg Siems of Cedar, Iowa, born in Williamsburg, Iowa, who passed away on January 21, 2022 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Irene Boesenberg Siems to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Otto and Alice Mumm (Collingwood); her husband Noel E. Siems; her former husband Henry William Boesenberg; her daughter Bernice Olson; her siblings, Dwight Mumm, Florence Cronbaugh and Marcella Martinson; and her sister-in-law Ruby Boesenberg (Clarence).

She is survived by: her children, Barbara Peden (Larry) of Cedar Rapids, Wayne Boesenberg (Gail) of Cedar Rapids and Gary Boesenberg (Jane) of Cedar Rapids; her stepchildren, Robert Siems (Jeanee) of North Liberty, Sandra Beltz of Solon, Wayne Siems (Diane) of Oxford, Karen Fults of Coralville and Kathy Siems of Coralville; her fathers-in-law, Clarence Boesenberg of Cedar Rapids and Lyle Boesenberg (Joyce) of Cedar Rapids; and her brothers-in-law, Don Boesenberg (Barb) of Cedar Rapids and Paul Boesenberg (Dorothy) of Mechanicsville. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.

As per Irene's wishes, her body will be cremated, and in keeping with current covid protocol, no services or visitations will be held at this time.
