It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Newlin (Cedar, Iowa), born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on March 9, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Newlin and Elizabeth Newlin (Hesebeck). He is survived by: his brothers, Steve Newlin (Donna) of Reno, NV and Doug Newlin of Tucson, AZ; his children, Christine Erntson (David) of Minneapolis and Scott Newlin (Christine) of Cedar Rapids; his former wives, Letha Newlin (Orcutt) and Marilyn Newlin (Palermo); his stepchildren, Ron Farina (Erin) of Crystal Lake, IL and Renee Fedo (Damien) of Arlington Heights, IL; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Kathryn, Owen, Cole and Ocean. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in his name to Upper Iowa University, Alumni Office, PO Box 1857, Fayette, Iowa, 52142.
