He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Pearle Ann (Taylor) and Lawrence Earle Henry; his sister Sally; his former wife Ada Mae (Little); his sons, Jerry and Jeff; his friend Carolyn "Kay" Shive (Reiner); his wife Kay; his children, Kalese Sheldahl (John), Kestrel Hanselman (Matthew) and Polly Pagliai (Armond); his grandchildren, Tony (Mareike) and Jaclyn Ewing (Todd); his son Philip Shive (Cinde); his grandchild Meredith (JD Moore); his son Mike Shive; his grandsons, Carson and Landon; his great grandchildren, Aliya, Eden and Ezra Sheldahl; and his sons, Judah, Calder, Ezra Ewing and Dane Moore.
As per George's wishes instead of flowers, donations can go to the Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary in Minnesota, First Congregational Church, or the Covenant House in New York City.
