It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Fred Schuchmann of Cedar, Iowa, born in Oelwein, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 84, on December 11, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Schuchmann and Hilda Schuchmann; his brothers, Paul Jr. and Bud; and his former wife Greta.
He is survived by: his siblings, Melvin and Ida; his son David; his daughter-in-law Jennifer; and his grandson Jordan.
Due to COVID (and Fred's dislike of long ceremonies) a short funeral will be held at Cedar Memorial Chapel at 10:00 am on Thursday December 16, 2021. Attendees are requested to wear masks.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either the St. Luke's Foundation (Greta Schuchmann or Lois Schuchmann Scholarship funds) or Bethany Lutheran Church (Kenyan Ministry).
