With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edna J. Zabel in Cedar, Iowa, born in Troy, Kansas, who passed away on December 12, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Hixson and Ethel Hixson (Smith); her husband Bud; her granddaughter Wendy; and her daughter Deborah Yard.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Bruns (Gary), David Zabel and Rick Zabel (Lisa) of Bancroft, NE; her son-in-law Bob Yard of Crescent, IA; and her sister Joan Berry. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.
