It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Schourek of Cedar, Iowa, who passed away on April 13, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel O'Connell and Nutris O'Connell (Reiquam); her husband Roy Schourek; her stepfather Henry Larsen; her brother Everett O'Connell; her parents-in-law, Lee Leimer, Edward R and Marilyn Schourek; her nephew Brad Schourek; and her niece Linda Leimer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Johnson (Don Hoskins) of Marion, IA and Louise (Scott); her grandchildren, Maureen Mulloy (Cameron) of Falls Church, VA, Paul Stracke (Clare) of Lorton, VA, Matt Hoskins (Robyn Ross), Alexandra, Olivia, Cooper and Isabella; her children, Lisa O'Donnell (Matt), Michaela and Kierian; her sister Barbara Leimer of Walnut Creek, CA; her stepsisters, Patricia Rieken, Crest Hill and Judy Stuyvesant of Lockport, IL; and her nieces and nephews, Marilyn Anderson of Reno, NV, Joyce Smith (Mark) of Walnut Creek, CA, Carl Leimer of Santa Rosa, CA, Gary Leimer of Arcadia, CA, Susan Mueller (Steve) of Duluth, MN, Dan Schourek (Gail) and Kris Raisanen Schourek of Atlantic Mine, MI.. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and cousins.
