She was predeceased by: her siblings, Luella Smith (DeWald) and Glen DeWald. She is survived by: her husband Ivan D. Hand; and her children, Debbie Halvorson (Vance), Steve Hand (Ruth) and Julie Hay (Steve). She is also survived by 3 children; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Cedar Valley Humane Society in Dorothy's name.
