It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carroll Brown of Cedar, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on May 16, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Arlene Brown; his sons, Paul Brown and Jeff Blunck; his grandson Adam Blunck; and his brother-in-law Ken Fineran.
He is survived by: his former wives, Gladys Grahan and Martha Ann Dalton Thomasson; his stepson Paul Wesley; his sisters, Regina Fineran of Northfield Minnesota and Sharon Brown of Northfield Minnesota; his children, David Brown of Cedar Rapids, Rod Blunck (Jan) of Pella, Iowa and Denise Matthews (Rod) of Dubuque, Iowa; his grandchildren, Megan Blunck Boerema (Peter) of Sioux Falls, Nathan Blunck of Pella, Amy Blunck Olsen of Pella, Ian Matthews (Stephanie) of Grand Rapids, Joy Matthews Byard (Zack) of Burlington, Paul Matthews of Chicago and Travis Blunck (Kimberly); and his great grandchildren, Anna, Ashleigh, James Boerema, Adaline Blunck, Betsy, Everett Matthews, Emma Byard, Kaylee, Parker Blunck, Annabelle, Charlotte and Barrett Blunck.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name to St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 4700 Johnson Ave NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405.
