With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Willie James West of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Camden, Arkansas, who passed away on May 21, 2023 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cortez West and Lethren Browning; and his children, Cortez West (Michelle) and Regina West. He is survived by: his wife Theotis; his daughter Ylonda West; his stepchildren, Sheritha Webb, Mark Taylor, Samuel Gillis and Lloyd Taylor; his siblings, Catherine Stevens, Elrina Frazier, Pearlee Jackson, Lucious Stevens, Lee Artis Stevens and Buddy Stevens; his uncle John "Buggy" Bush; his goddaughter Sonya Jackson (Ivory Frazier); and his nephews, Cleveland and James "J. C." Jackson. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
