He was predeceased by: his wife Teresa Ann Shea; his parents, Fred Vogl and Odette Vogl (Schillig); his brothers, Monsignor Robert Vogl, Richard Vogl and Thomas Vogl (Patricia); his parents-in-law, Timothy and Catherine Shea; his siblings-in-law, John, Leonard (Helen), Jerry (Clarice), Timothy, Michael Shea (Marty), Rosemary Miller (Bob) and Mary; his son-in-law Mick Denniston; and his great grandchild Vivianne Beadle.
He is survived by: his children, Margie Pence (Bob) of Cedar Rapids, Larry Vogl (Vicky) of Cedar Rapids, Kathy Denniston of Springfield, Susie Nicholson (Nick) of Louisville, Judy Hutchins (Gary) of Fort Myers, Mary Hanson (Ron) of Glenwood, Sally Johnsen (Scott) of Bloomingdale, Jim Vogl (Kate) of Plymouth, Annie Jeffries (Joe) of Cedar Rapids and Lisa Griffin (Griff) of Cedar Rapids; his sister Mary Ann Steele (Richard) of Marion; and his sisters-in-law, Karen Vogl of St. Paul and Alice Shea of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy or All Saints Catholic Church.
