He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Betty; his daughters, Brenda Harrington (Dennis) of Cedar Rapids and Kelly Schmidt (Randy) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Jennifer Whitted (Eric) of Polk City, Jessica Harrington (Corey Weigand) of Cedar Rapids, Daniel Schmidt (Kayla) of Cedar Rapids and Bradley Schmidt (Kaylee) of Cedar Rapids; his great grandchildren, Katelynn and Meredith Whitted; his grandchildren, Scottie and Baxter; his siblings, Patricia Kilts and Richard Dougherty; and his parents, Charles Dougherty and Dorothy Dougherty (Cozart).
