It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Dauenbaugh-Benson (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), born in Center Point, Iowa, who passed away on September 7, 2018, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Bob; her sister Verla Cole; and her brothers-in-law, Violet Haars, Raymond Haars, Ed Wall, Jim Sherman, Barb Carver and Robyn Benson.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Benson (Laurel) of Lee, Sheryl Gates (Bob) of Cedar Rapids, Alan Benson (Connie) of Cedar Rapids and Annette Brooks (Keith) of Indianola, IA; her brother Lowell Dauenbaugh (Joyce); and her siblings-in-law, Don Cole, Wayne Carver, Bill Benson, Ken Benson (Pat), Velma Roseberry (Vernon), Helen Wall, Ann Comried and Pat Sherman. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Rowley United Methodist Church in Rowley, IA or the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, IA.
