He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Humphrey and Alba Humphrey (Popham); his wife Burnadean Humphrey; his siblings, Robert, Lloyd (Chap), Trela, Edith (Tiny) and Mary Margaret (Peg Kay); his stepchildren, Jerry Meier and Roxie Thompson; and his stepgrandchildren, Mike Meier and Jennifer Meier.
He is survived by: his brother David (Carolyn); and his stepgrandchildren, Charles Williams (Kim), Connie Williams (Clint), Kelly Meier (Leslie), Lisa Meier-Hamilton and Dawn Meier-Ewoldt (Cory). He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Although his 100th birthday hit during COVID, he still managed to celebrate with his church family serenading him from across the street, having a small get together of a few friends and family at Mel's Diner, and enjoying a parade of police cars and fire trucks in his honor.
