He is survived by: his children, David Virden (Dana) of Marion and Ann Balvanz (Justin) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Jenna, Brody Mosnik, Boyd and Kate Balvanz; and his sisters, Wendy Moore (Dennis) of Sioux Falls, SD, Polly Virden of Gilbert, AZ, Carole Virden of Oxnard, CA and Debbie Rudolph (Greg) of Bismark, ND. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
