He was predeceased by: his pet Sonic; and his parents, Bernie Beranek and Yvonne Kruse Beranek. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Rigel (Rick) of Cedar Rapids and Lynn Smith (Karren) of Keystone; his grandsons, Zander of Cedar Rapids and Mason Rigel of Cedar Rapids; his sisters, Joni King (Gary) of Eldridge and Cindy Beranek of Robins; his nieces and nephews, Corey King (Stacie), Kristi Cummins (Nick), Carrie Imini (Pierre) and Chad Hoeger (McKenzie); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Colin, Allyson Cummins, Kylie, Tyler King and Sam Imini. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
