We are sad to announce that on August 20, 2023, at the age of 73, Susan VanAuken of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Tiernan and Elizabeth Tiernan (Broeckert); and her siblings, Jimmy Tiernan, Michael Tiernan and Patty McCalley.

She is survived by: her husband Dennis VanAuken; her children, Kerri VanAuken and Tim VanAuken; her sisters, Janie Macklin (John), Julie Keen (Eric) and Lori Fiebelkorn (Rod); and her siblings-in-law, Bonnie Tiernan-Ehrenberger (Frank) and Dick VanAuken (Dianne). She is also survived by twenty nieces and nephews; and fourteen grand nieces and nephews.
