With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stephen L. Melson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on January 31, 2025 at the age of 62. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Melson and Georgie Melson (Wooten); and his wife Cindy Ann Miller. He is survived by: his children, Melissa (Dani) of Cedar Rapids, Ryan (Alex) of Cedar Rapids, Tiffany of Cedar Rapids and Jamie (Aaron) of Cedar Rapids; his sister PJ Schulze (Cindy) of Maine; his grandchildren, Kandice, Jareth, Caleb and Skyler; and his nephew Dustin Schulze (Laura) of Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Steve's name to a local food bank.
