It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sofia Barbulescu of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on June 23, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Tudor Lembrau and Maria Lembrau (Leoveanu); and her husband Constantin Barbulescu. She is survived by: her son Ion (Mihaela Barbulescu) of Cedar Rapids; her granddaughters, Roxanna Ioana Barbulescu of Iowa City and Octavia Maria Barbulescu of Iowa City; and her nieces, Tatiana Surugiu and Monica Jitea. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
