It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Matheny of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on August 4, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Kelli Allbones and Jeremy Whorton (Lindsay); her grandsons, Zach Whorton, Joe Seeman (Alyssa), Glenn and Larson Whorton; her great grandchild Wyatt Whorton; her stepdaughter Jessica Martin; her stepgrandchildren, Raven Mifflin and Luke Andrews; and her siblings, Kathy Babcock, Georgette Hedley, Phyllis Baskerville and Jim Scherrer.
