The memory of Ruth Duede of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on February 6, 2025 at the age of 91, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lemual Tharp and Addie Tharp (Edaburn); her husband Wayne Duede; her siblings, Flora Barnard-Chermak, Genevieve Bjornson, Darline Pence-Burlingham, Marshall, Marvin, Virgil, Wilmer and Charles Tharp; her granddaughter Corie Kinkead; and her great great grandchild Hudson Pettibone.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy MacLeod of Arizona, Teresa Oxley Marion (Barrie) of Arizona, Joni Strain (Terry) of Arizona, Lisa Pettibone (Jim) of Arizona and Kristin Chesmore (Mike) of Arizona; her stepchildren, Gary Duede (LaNetta), Kim Newman, Doug Duede and Kathy Bissett; and her friends, Jack Roeder and Dale Troester. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, her grand dogs, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions will be directed to the family for later designation to the activity fund at Irving Point Assisted Living Facility or Central Church of Christ.
