It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Anne Archibald (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), who passed away on February 3, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lumir Stritesky and Carrie Stritesky; her husband Samuel Archibald; and her siblings, Dorothy Threlkeld and Richard "Dick" Stritesky.
She is survived by: her sons, Steve Archibald (Vicki) and Jim Archibald (Terri) of Cedar Rapids; and her grandchildren, Staci Bailey (Brad), Carrie Thrasher (Mark), Rob Archibald (Chelsea), Jenny Galvin, Justin Archibald (Stacey), Amber Archibald, Rachelle Little and Rebecca Duffy (Adam). She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Mercy Hospital Foundation or a charity of choice.
