He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Rathjen and Helen Rathjen (Fitzgerald); his wife Cindy Rathjen; his daughter Jennifer Rathjen; his great grandchild Anai; his nephew David Rathjen; and his siblings, Gary, Glen and Darlene.
He is survived by: his daughter Ann Roushar (Jeff); his grandchildren, Jackson, Makenzie Buck and Madison Deason (Lupe); and his great grandchildren, Kenzie, Aleena, McKain, Desi, Braylin, Alani and Aveah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Genoa Bluffs Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Roushar Home (303 Moose Dr NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405).
