He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Welty and Leora Welty (Price); his parents-in-law, Kenneth and Evelyn Eige (Specht); his siblings, Linda Ford and A. J. Welty; and his daughter-in-law Katherine Welty.
He is survived by: his wife Millicent Eige (Mimi); his brother Robert Welty (Pat); his brother-in-law Roy Ford; his children, Debby Krivanek (David) and Jeff Welty (Barbara); his grandchildren, Sonya Brown (Brad), Ryan Welty (Alexandra Duball) and Brandon Welty (Cassidy Downs); and his great grandchildren, Lilly, Mia, Charlotte Welty, Juliet, Ruby Brown, Dominic and Colby Wells (Fine).
