He is survived by: his wife Nina A. Murotova of Cedar Rapids; his daughters, Carrie Scroggins of Cedar Rapids and Nina Preston (Brad) of Stewartstown, PA; his grandchildren, Emma Preston, Carter Scroggins-Gorman, Lydia Preston, Connor Preston and Mark Murotov; and his stepsons, Sergei Murotov of Kharkov, Ukraine. and Stanislov Murotov (Sveta) of Kharkov, Ukraine..
