He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Remmers of Paul's Lutheran Church; his daughter Melinda "Mindy" Rae Hooper; his sister Sue; his brother-in-law Don Carter; and his parents, Elmer Kintner and Rae Swartwout Kintner.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Kintner (Nancy) of Cedar Rapids and SueLynn Olszewski; and his grandchildren, Kari, Nathan and Noelle. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
