McHugh; his sons, Marvin (Wendy) of Cedar Rapids, Mike (Tammy) of Cedar Rapids and Mark (Liz) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Leo, John, Charlie Smejkal, Kayla and Claire Streevy; his great grandchild Maika Streevy; and his brother Leo Smejkal of Cedar Rapids.

Memorial donations may be given to Camp Courageous.
